In 1928, an Austrian Baron from the region of Bregenz had requested Ulrich Van-Heusen to create and design a unique calendar watch he could wear. And so it began, the Steinhausen TW-387-S. A revolution. The world's most beautiful square watch ever made. So elegant that French watchmakers have been selling a similar watch design for a half century.

Only one watch has ever been made by Ulrich, and it was hailed a work of art. Not only for its exterior appearance, but for the complex, 186-moving-part mechanism that allows it to operate by kinetic movement and maintain a calendar dial. Staying true to the original blueprint, the Baron watch, built by Steinhausen, has been reborn with a detailed design and the highest-quality workmanship. And it's all handmade. The Steinhausen TW-387-G been built with an accuracy of +15/ -13 seconds per day, which exceeds any Swiss-movement requirement.

The Steinhausen TW-387-S has the only timepiece that encases an unimaginably complicated calendar movement: the Kinetic Calendar. As such, the Baron stands above and beyond every other watch in the world.

This Kinetic Calendar displays, in one automatic watch, a 24-hour moon/sun dial, day of the month (e.g. 25th), day of the week (e.g. Wednesday), month, hour, minute and second.

The new Baron design, Steinhausen TW-387-S, has just been reintroduced and patented after 70 years. It's been engineered with completely handmade 32-jewel movement, with the Steinhausen stamp.
